Weill Medical College of Cornell University
Department of Psychiatry

Special Programs

The Cornell residency program in psychiatry does not offer separate tracks for clinical work and for research/education. We are committed to train all residents for achievement of the highest level of clinical expertise and for positions of leadership in education, research and scholarship. To this end, residency training for each resident is individually tailored to support the development of his/her special interests and skills. Any resident who demonstrates a special aptitude for intensive research and scholarship may arrange for a schedule designed to support these activities under the mentorship of the Director of Residency Training and the Chairman of the Department.
