EVALUATION
& TREATMENT
Evaluations
meet the specific needs of each child or adolescent. Recommended
treatment plans may include individual and/or family therapy,
group programs that address social skills, parent training or
divorce issues, medication when appropriate, and suggestions for
additional assessments or school placement.
An
evaluation does not obligate the child or family to enter into
treatment at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Evaluations can be
sent to a physician or provider of choice, to schools, or to agencies.
STAFF
The
Child and Adolescent Evaluation Service is staffed by psychiatrists,
psychologists, social workers, and clinical nurse specialists.
ELIGIBILITY
Children
from infancy to 18 years of age and their families may request
