The Weill Cornell Neuropsychology Service at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital provides state-of-the-art diagnostic evaluations for a wide variety of neuropsychiatric and suspected neurological conditions.

Staffed with expert neuropsychology faculty, the Neuropsychology Assessment Service conducts comprehensive evaluations to assess the full range of cognitive and emotional functioning.

ASSESSMENTS

Neuropsychological assessments evaluate the following:

  • Intellect
  • Memory
  • Language
  • Visuospatial skills
  • Academic achievement
  • Sensory-motor abilities
  • Personality

SERVICES

Specialized clinical assessment services include:

  • Cognitive disorder in neuropsychiatric conditions
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Seizure disorder
  • Dementia
  • Language disturbance
  • Learning disability
  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
  • Cognitive changes following medical illness or surgery
  • HIV-associated dementia complex
  • Cerebrovascular disorder
  • Neurotoxin exposure
  • Other neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions

Specialized forensic services available:

  • Assessment of psychological and cognitive factors resulting from an injury or condition
  • Assessment of disability
  • Assessment of competency

Referring professionals and agencies are provided with detailed feedback, including a written report outlining findings, treatment recommendations, referral resources, and follow-up consultation.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

The Neuropsychology Assessment Service is a fee-for-service clinical program.  Fees depend upon the comprehensiveness of the evaluation.
